Summer & Fall 2019 I had the unique pleasure of working on a 40 page children’s book filled with watercolor illustrations of family photos. It was a total dream project for so soon after going full time as an artist, and it was also a great way for me to gain more experience painting people. I fell in love with how painting a family portrait could really capture such love and joy.

Once an order has been placed on Sofia Lenore’s website, I will be in contact via email to request reference images to work from. We will additionally discuss any special requests, exclusions, or inclusions within the work.
Each commission requires a high resolution photographs to work from. Natural lighting is best to achieve exact coloring of each individual and the surroundings. It is also required that the reference photo is the exact angle / viewpoint that you want of each individual in the painting so I can paint the correct likeness and perspective. The better and more clear the photograph, the better the final painting will be!

Once an order has been placed on Sofia Lenore’s website, I will be in contact via email to request reference images. This original art piece is available in 2 sizes. The orientation of the final painting (vertical or horizontal) is dependent on the reference images of the location being painted and/or the request of the client.
Sofia Lenore Watercolors offers the chance to frame and matte your original painting through our Partners at Framebridge. We offer 5 classic frame colors all with a white matte.

SHIPPING
Please remember that each piece is hand done. Depending on my current work queue, turnaround time can be up to 3 weeks before shipping.
Without frame: Your painting will be shipped directly from the Sofia Lenore Watercolors office in a clear archival bag with a backing board.
With frame: Your finished painting will be shipped first to our partners at Framebridge for framing, and their process takes up to 10 days (especially around major gift giving holidays). Framebridge will then ship the finished product directly to you. Please feel free to reach out via email if you require your painting by a certain date!
RETURN POLICY
Sofia Lenore does not offer refunds for bespoke, original commissions.
In the instance that a pre-made product is damaged during shipping or does not arrive, the client has 30 days to reach out to Sofia Lenore with details of the damage. Please reach out to sofialenorewatercolors@gmail.com after package arrival to discuss next steps.
